Old siding that's warped, faded, or rotted in multiple spots usually costs more to keep patching than to replace outright — we'll tell you honestly which situation you're in.
Every tear-off includes a moisture reading on exposed sheathing before new material goes up, not just a visual glance.
Hidden rot gets caught and priced before it's covered back up, not discovered years later as a bigger problem.
Full removal and disposal is handled by insured crews familiar with Carol Stream, IL disposal and permitting requirements.

We prioritize homes with visible widespread damage or active leaks ahead of routine scheduling.
Tear-off, disposal, sheathing contingency, and new material are itemized separately on one written estimate.
If hidden damage is found mid-project, you approve that specific cost before we proceed — no blanket change orders.
Below is what a full Siding Replacement project actually includes from tear-off to final trim.
Tear-off includes a walk of the exposed sheathing before anything new goes up. Dumpster or trailer placement is planned ahead of time so your driveway isn't blocked for the whole project.
This step gets skipped by crews trying to move fast — it's the one that actually prevents repeat problems. We photograph any damaged sheathing before and after repair, so you have a record of exactly what was replaced.
Old, torn house wrap left in place under new siding defeats the point of replacing the siding at all. Window and door openings get flashed before the wrap goes on, not patched around afterward.
New panels go up to manufacturer spec once the wall behind them is confirmed sound. Panel layout is planned before the first course goes up so seams land in consistent, less visible positions.
Skipping trim during a re-side often means redoing it again within a few years once it's the odd piece out. Soffit vents get sized for the attic space above, not just swapped for a matching look.
We'll ask a few quick questions to gauge scope before scheduling the on-site visit.
We look at attic and interior walls too, since moisture problems often show there first.
We flag any sheathing repair that's likely needed based on what's visible, so the estimate isn't a surprise later.
Daily site cleanup keeps nails and scrap out of your yard throughout the project.
