Old siding that's warped, faded, or rotted in multiple spots usually costs more to keep patching than to replace outright — we'll tell you honestly which situation you're in.
Every tear-off includes a moisture reading on exposed sheathing before new material goes up, not just a visual glance.
Hidden rot gets caught and priced before it's covered back up, not discovered years later as a bigger problem.
Full removal and disposal is handled by insured crews familiar with Madison, IL disposal and permitting requirements.
We carry the liability coverage a full tear-off project requires, not just a repair-scale policy.
Local estimators can typically get to your home within days, not weeks, for a full replacement quote.
We prioritize homes with visible widespread damage or active leaks ahead of routine scheduling.
Tear-off, disposal, sheathing contingency, and new material are itemized separately on one written estimate.
If hidden damage is found mid-project, you approve that specific cost before we proceed — no blanket change orders.
Below is what a full Siding Replacement project actually includes from tear-off to final trim.
Tear-off includes a walk of the exposed sheathing before anything new goes up. We sweep magnetic nail-finders across the yard afterward so stray fasteners don't end up in a mower or a bare foot.
Soft, delaminated, or water-stained sheathing gets cut out and replaced before new siding covers it back up. Plywood or OSB sections get matched in thickness to the original sheathing, not just whatever's on the truck.
Old, torn house wrap left in place under new siding defeats the point of replacing the siding at all. Seams get taped with manufacturer-approved tape rather than generic duct tape, which fails within a season or two.
Material choice — vinyl, fiber cement, or insulated — gets decided during the estimate, not assumed for you. We double-check local wind ratings against the chosen material before finalizing the order.
Skipping trim during a re-side often means redoing it again within a few years once it's the odd piece out. Fascia board thickness gets matched so gutters hang correctly once reinstalled.
Call +1-844-782-0929 and describe your existing siding's condition — age, visible damage, any known leaks.
An estimator walks the full exterior, checking for soft spots, staining, and previous repair patches.
You get a written estimate covering tear-off, disposal, sheathing contingency, and full re-side material and labor.
Old material comes off, the wall gets inspected and repaired as needed, and new siding goes up with warranty registration at close.
They found rotted sheathing behind a section that looked fine from the outside — glad it got caught before new siding went over it.
Went with fiber cement on the replacement and the house looks completely different, in a good way.
Fascia was replaced along with the siding and now the whole roofline looks consistent instead of patched.
Full re-side took about ten days including a sheathing repair we didn't expect, and the price didn't move once they found it — covered under the original contingency.
One call gets you an honest repair-vs-replace recommendation.
